The Star Wars Prequels rewritten by XenoEntity

On a planet very, very close to you,
one entity was so disappointed by a story written for a vaunted franchise
that he turned to his own inner thoughts and reforged the story in his own style.

--- I said I would give you my rewrite for the prequels and here it is in annotated outline form. It should be noted here that I have some respect for what Lucas did with the prequels since I know the writing, shooting and development take years where certain weaknesses become more apparent and other events and movies change the dynamics of thought.
--- Here are the central concepts I thought I would see in the prequels before they came out: a war between clones which involved clones of characters higher than soldiers and Darth Vader emerging gradually during the nine months of pregnancy. I've decided to mostly follow the flow of events laid by Lucas since it is his story and my rewrite of his work, but I will include more of a terrorism slant, deeper clone plots, and a bit more of the "Living Force" idea which Lucas backed away from.
WARNING: this completly spoils the prequels if you actually haven't seen them. Episode 1 is short, Ep 2 is a bit long, and Ep 3 is long enough to surprise you. So without further ado:
Star Wars: Episode 1 - Phantasmal Forces
Star Wars: Episode 2 - The Clone Wars
Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith
Afterwords
- This ended up being more interesting than I thought. My quick outline for this had Episode 3 being this weird run-around involving Sifo Dias. Then upon reflection I determined that in trying to redeem Jar Jar's position as a conduit to the living force meant that Jar Jar would be involved in Anakin's turn. So I put him at the Jedi tower and knew I wanted Anakin's turn to be tragic - so Jar Jar had to die. This changed everything so Sifo Dias was removed and I rewrote this into a series of tragic choices and events driving Anakin to the Dark Side. It keeps the technology and conflict of Lucas's script but focuses it on characters in a logical fashion.
- Now here's the quick version of the trilogy if I hadn't chosen to work from what Lucas wrote.
* Episode 1 - year 1 of the Clone Wars - straight up war between the Republic and Sidious' army, mostly involving clones, that would define Anakin as a hero and how he related to the Force and other Jedi.
* Episode 2 - year 2 and Padme has just gotten pregnant - Anakin fights to end the war ASAP, Jedi and other clones show up on both sides making the situation extremely paranoia-inducing. Anakin is asked to kill several Jedi clones. He faces and kills a Sith lord but Sidious so outclasses him that he envies such power.
* Episode 3 - year 3 and Padme is 6 months pregnant - Anakin discovers a powerful Sith artifact which allows him to stalemate Sidious. Sidious uses logic, deception, and Jedi clones to seduce Anakin to the Dark Side. Anakin hunts the Jedi in an attempt to turn them as well but ultimately is forced into duels to the death. Anakin leads Sidious into the heart of the Republic even as Obi-Wan secrets Padme out. Sidious then takes control through clones and promises to eradicate the clones he's created. The Republic acquieses. Anakin goes after Obi-Wan at Coruscant's massive geothermal volcano. They fight onto a catwalk where Obi-Wan slices it to pieces and they both fall. Yoda saves Obi-Wan and Anakin pulls down most of the internal structure during his fall. Anakin takes a lava bath but gets onto the jagged metal quickly and concentrates on stayin alive. Sidiuos rescues Anakin and turns him into Darth Vader. Padme gives birth to the twins and dies at that moment. The twins are separated. The end.
- So really mine wouldn't be that good since it's more of a story rather than the Space Opera formula which worked for the original trilogy. What I did with the rewrite is much better than my plain take. So there you have the full vision of a XenoScript - I hope it was somewhat enjoyable to read. Thanks, Xeno.
